At RMDW LLC ("we," "us," "our"), we believe your data belongs to you — period. Kiyomi Bot ("Kiyomi") was designed from the ground up to be a 100% local application. Your conversations, your files, your AI interactions — they never leave your machine.
This Privacy Policy explains what little data we do collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
🔒 The short version: Kiyomi runs entirely on your Mac. We don't collect your conversations, files, memory data, or AI interactions. We don't have servers receiving your data. We don't sell data. We don't track you. Your privacy isn't a feature we bolt on — it's how Kiyomi is built.
This is the most important section of our Privacy Policy, because it makes everything else almost irrelevant.
Kiyomi is a downloadable macOS application (.dmg) that runs entirely on your computer. It is not a cloud service. It is not SaaS. There are no RMDW LLC servers processing your data.
We architectured Kiyomi this way on purpose. We believe an AI assistant that knows everything about you should report to you — not to us.
When you purchase Kiyomi, we collect the minimum information necessary to process your order and deliver your license:
Used to deliver your license key, send purchase receipts, and communicate important product updates (e.g., new versions, security notices). We will not spam you or sell your email to anyone.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy:
We receive only the minimum transaction details needed to manage your account (last 4 digits of card, transaction ID, amount, date).
Kiyomi connects to third-party services to provide AI capabilities and messaging. These connections happen directly between your machine and the service — not through us.
Kiyomi uses the Google Gemini API (free tier) for approximately 80% of AI tasks. When you use Kiyomi, your prompts and data are sent directly from your Mac to Google's servers under Google's terms.
If you choose to provide your own Anthropic API key, Kiyomi can use Claude for advanced tasks. You manage your own API key and relationship with Anthropic. We never see or store your key.
If you connect Kiyomi to Telegram for mobile messaging, your messages pass through Telegram's infrastructure. This is a direct connection between your Kiyomi instance and Telegram — we are not an intermediary.

Let's make this simple:
We keep your data for as long as necessary and not a day longer:
Since Kiyomi is a local application, we don't retain — and have never possessed — your conversations, files, memory data, or AI interactions.
For the limited data we do handle (email, purchase records), we use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure payment processing through Stripe, and access controls on our business systems.
For your Kiyomi data (conversations, memory, files): security is in your hands, because the data never leaves your machine. We recommend keeping your macOS updated and using FileVault disk encryption.
Regardless of where you live, we respect your right to control your data. You can:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at richardbechols92@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of your data. Since we collect minimal data and never sell any of it, CCPA compliance is straightforward. Contact us to exercise your rights.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Since Kiyomi is a local application and we collect minimal data, our GDPR footprint is very small. Our lawful basis for processing purchase data is contract performance (we need your email to deliver your license). Contact us to exercise your rights.
Kiyomi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
RMDW LLC is based in Georgia, USA. If you are located outside the United States, any data you provide to us (email, payment information) may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By purchasing Kiyomi, you consent to this transfer.
Remember: your Kiyomi data (conversations, files, memory) stays on your local machine and is never transferred to us regardless of your location.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
